MICHAEL WALTON
Business Development Manager After working for a decade in the Hospitality industry, Michael decided that a change of career was about due which saw him undertake an IT diploma for 2 ½ years. Upon graduating, Michael went to work for Consolidated Travel, one of Australia’s leading Travel consolidators, where he was actively involved in the design and implementation of many of their internal IT applications. After several years at Consolidated Travel, Michael left to work in the IT department at Traveland, and from there he spent time in the banking and finance sector and as part of a large IT consulting firm. He has been actively involved with Travelling Fit right from its inception as he has been married to its founder, Mari-Mar Walton, for 7 years. His responsibilities have included the development of the Travelling Fit website, the Travelling Fit eNewsletters and all aspects of the company’s IT. More recently, he has also focused more on the Business Development of Travelling Fit and he is actively involved in enhancing the ability of Travelling Fit to provide better and better service to their customers. In his spare time, Michael runs Marathons and is well on his way to becoming a member of the “Seven Continents Club”, with only Africa, South America and Antarctica left. He also spends a great deal of his free time “running” after their children Emma and Henry, who ensure that keeping still is never an option.
HAILEE MAHONY

In 2006 Hailee joined the Travelling Fit team where she quickly learnt how to assist runners with their specific needs and now she is responsible for organizing packages to such diverse places as the Great Wall Marathon in China, the Petra Marathon in Jordan and the Big Five Marathon in South Africa, amongst many others. Hailee has always had a passion for the outdoor life, and she actively enjoys a variety of sports including netball, soccer, swimming, surfing and wakeboarding. She and her husband Tom have also travelled to the Great Wall Marathon to compete in the Half-Marathon event, which was Hailee’s first (but certainly not the last) large-scale running event. Hailee is also a keen traveller, and has explored Western Europe, Bali, Fiji, Vanuatu, Singapore, the UK and Ireland to name a few.
TINA LAMBERT
Travel Specialist A dream to become a flight attendant at a very early age ensured that Tina was always destined to be in the travel industry. After deciding that aero-planes may be a little constricting to spend most of her time in one, she settled on the next best thing – assisting others with their journeys, for which she’s now been involved in different aspects of the travel industry for over 10 years. With experience at some of Australia’s leading travel companies in organising luxury travel incorporating Business and First Class airfares as well as adventure touring, she’s had the pleasure of researching some of the best destinations in the world. Over this time she’s had the opportunity to go to some of the most amazing places in the world – Alaska and Mexico to name the highlights and most recently a trekking expedition in Nepal, which was without a doubt the most rewarding albeit challenging experience of her life so far. Joining Travelling Fit in October 2008, she was able to combine her passion for travel and her love of the great outdoors and she’s enjoying assisting runners in their pursuits of completing Marathons all around the world. She hopes that one day she’ll make it herself to one of these events – although may strive towards a half-marathon and leave the quest for full marathons to the experts.
