The Course | Packages | Race Information | Travel InsuranceTHE COURSEThe Half Marathon no longer turns right on crossing the bridge but instead veers left and covers the first section of the marathon course taking in Macquarie Street and the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens. The course then proceeds through the northern section of the CBD of Sydney travelling to Darling Harbour but via the Rocks before returning on the same route back to Circular Quay and the famous finish at the Sydney Opera House. These course changes make up a considerably smaller footprint and will ease traffic congestion within the city, allow better traffic movement through and around the city, airport, eastern suburbs and the inner west. By removing some of the hills and the often referred to ‘boring’ section of the City West Link organisers are convinced the course is even more scenic and certainly potentially faster. An added bonus is these courses mean that entrants will see other runners almost the entire route and of course offer much better spectator points for family and friends. PACKAGES
